ELIGIBILITY:
The Ladybug Festival is a celebration of women in music, all acts for consideration need to identify as a woman. Bands with men members will be considered if fronted by someone that identifies as woman. Submission fee is $20 per act. This fee covers submission for the WILMINGTON LADYBUG MUSIC FESTIVAL on May 30, 2025.
Submission does not guarantee you will be chosen to perform. The submission fee is non-refundable. Submitting more than once will not increase your chances at being chosen.

WILMINGTON FESTIVAL APPLICATION FAQ

 

  • The Ladybug Festival is a celebration of women in music, all acts for consideration need to identify as a woman.  The Ladybug Music Festival welcomes all women (including cisgender, transgender, and non-binary sisters). Bands with male members will be considered if fronted by someone that identifies as a woman.

  • No! All ages are welcome to apply for consideration, we've featured artists as young as 11 and well into their 70's!

  • Regardless of genre, all music performed must be all-ages appropriate, with profanities removed or adjusted.

    Every year we make an effort to have a very diverse lineup in terms of genres. However, we have fewer venues available for genres like EDM, Metal, Punk, and Rap. It doesn't mean we don't ever select artists in those genres, it just means we tend to have fewer acts in those genres than we do others.

    Regardless of genre, all music performed must be all-ages appropriate, with profanities removed or adjusted.

  • Reviewing artist applications takes time and resources. This fee helps make the Ladybug Festival free and possible.

  • Yes, every artist selected to perform is compensated.

  • No, unfortunately, we do not cover these expenses.

  • The fee is non refundable. 

  • All artists submitting will need to provide contact information, band information, website and social media links, and a working link to a current (less than 3 years old) video of the band performing live.
